  • Cocktail shaker or mason jar
  • Measuring jigger or tablespoon
  • Bar spoon or regular spoon
  • Citrus juicer
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Small saucepan
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Ice cube tray and tongs

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh pink grapefruit juice or bottled, no sugar added
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice fresh
  • 2-3 teaspoons honey or agave syrup, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary simple syrup optional
  • pinch ground cinnamon or muddle a bit of star anise or clove
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water or seltzer
  • 1/4 cup grapefruit soda optional
  • ice cubes
  • grapefruit slice for garnish
  • lime wedge for garnish
  • mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a tall glass halfway with ice cubes.
  • In a shaker, combine grapefruit juice, lime juice, honey or agave, rosemary simple syrup, and a pinch of cinnamon.
  • Shake well for 10 seconds to mix and chill.
  • Strain mixture into your prepared glass.
  • Top with sparkling water and, if using, a splash of grapefruit soda. Stir gently.
  • Garnish with grapefruit slice, lime wedge, and mint leaves.

Notes

Use pink grapefruit for best flavor and color. Adjust sweetener as needed. For more spice, add nutmeg or muddle a clove. Rosemary syrup adds herbal depth but is optional.
