Spiced Apple Prosecco Cocktail Recipe

Spiced Apple Prosecco Cocktail Recipe
I enjoy making this cocktail because it pairs crisp prosecco with warm spices and apple flavor. Making it at home is straightforward.

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring spoons
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Chilled champagne flute or wine glass
  • Spoon: For stirring.
  • Small saucepan (if making homemade spiced syrup)
  • Knife and cutting board (for apple slices or garnish)
  • Grater or zester (optional, for fresh spices or zest)

Ingredients

  • Prosecco about 4 oz, well chilled
  • Apple cider 1.5 oz
  • Spiced simple syrup 0.5 oz; can be homemade or store-bought
  • Fresh lemon juice 0.5 oz
  • Apple slices for garnish
  • Whole cinnamon stick or star anise optional, for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add ice cubes to the cocktail shaker.
  • Pour in apple cider, spiced syrup, and lemon juice.
  • Shake well for about 15 seconds to mix and chill.
  • Strain the mixture into a chilled champagne flute or wine glass.
  • Top gently with chilled prosecco.
  • Stir very lightly with a spoon, being careful not to lose the bubbles.
  • Garnish with an apple slice and a cinnamon stick or star anise if you like.
  • Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.

Notes

Spiced simple syrup can be made ahead and kept in the fridge for up to a week. Store-bought versions also work well if I’m short on time.
For a less sweet cocktail, I can use dry prosecco or reduce the syrup. Apple brandy can be added for a stronger cocktail, though that’s totally optional.
I use real apple cider, not apple juice, for the richest taste. Adjust spices and garnish to fit the season or your own preferences—it’s flexible.
