Equipment

  • You'll need a few basic items to make this sangria. Start with a large pitcher that can hold at least 2 liters. A cutting board and a sharp knife are essential for chopping fruit. Measuring cups and spoons will help you get the quantities just right. Finally, a long-handled spoon is perfect for stirring everything together.

Ingredients

The ingredients for Sparkling Fall Sangria are simple and seasonal. Here's what you'll need:

  • 1 bottle of red wine 750 ml, preferably light-bodied
  • 1 cup of apple cider
  • 1 cup of sparkling water
  • Β½ cup of brandy
  • 1 apple sliced thinly
  • 1 pear sliced thinly
  • 1 orange sliced into rounds
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • Ice cubes as needed

Each fruit adds its own unique flavor to the mix, while the cinnamon stick gives it that cozy fall spice.

Instructions

  • Start by pouring the wine, apple cider, and brandy into the large pitcher. Stir them gently to combine.
  • Next, add all the sliced fruits to the pitcher. Drop in the cinnamon stick.
  • Stir again to mix the fruit flavors with the liquids. Let this mixture sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to let the flavors meld.
  • Just before serving, add the sparkling water and ice cubes to the pitcher. Give it a final gentle stir. πŸ₯‚

Notes

For extra flavor, you can soak the fruit overnight in the wine mixture. This makes the flavors even more intense.
Feel free to customize the fruits. Adding pomegranate seeds, cranberries, or other fall fruits will make it your own.
This sangria can be made non-alcoholic by swapping the wine and brandy with grape juice and more apple cider.
