Ingredients

  • 2 oz dark or spiced rum
  • ¾ oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz fresh lemon juice
  • ¾ oz simple syrup or maple syrup
  • ¼ oz grenadine or cherry juice
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters optional
  • 1 oz ginger beer optional, for fizz
  • 1 egg white optional, for foam
  • Ice cubes

Garnishes:

  • 1 lychee
  • 1 blueberry to make a spooky “eyeball”
  • 1 maraschino cherry or Halloween candy
  • Small piece of dry ice optional, use with caution

Instructions

  • Add the rum, lime juice, lemon juice, simple syrup, grenadine, and egg white (if using) to a shaker.
  • Dry shake (shake without ice) for 20 seconds to create foam.
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake again until well chilled (about 15 seconds).
  • Strain into a rocks or highball glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Optional: Top with ginger beer for a fizzy finish.
  • Garnish with a maraschino cherry or spooky “eyeball” (stuff a blueberry inside a lychee).
  • If using dry ice, drop a tiny piece in using tongs—wait for the smoke to settle before sipping.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
