  • Muddler
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Collins glass
  • Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 oz dark rum
  • 6-8 fresh mixed berries strawberries, raspberries, blackberries
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh berries and lime wheel for garnish

Instructions

  • Add berries and simple syrup to the cocktail shaker. Muddle until berries release their juices.
  • Pour in the rum and lime juice. Fill the shaker with ice.
  • Shake for 10-15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a Collins glass filled with ice. Top with club soda.
  • Garnish with fresh berries and a lime wheel

Notes

Use ripe, fresh berries for the best flavor. Frozen berries can work in a pinch.
The drink can be made less sweet by reducing the simple syrup to 1/4 oz.
Store any leftover simple syrup in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
This recipe serves one person but can be doubled or tripled for a group.
