Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Muddler
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Collins glass
  • Ice cube tray
  • Measuring jigger
  • Bar spoon

Ingredients

  • 6 fresh raspberries
  • 4-5 mint leaves
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 oz simple syrup
  • Club soda or sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Extra raspberries and mint for garnish

Instructions

  • Add raspberries and mint leaves to the shaker. Muddle gently to release the flavors.
  • Pour in vodka, lime juice, and simple syrup.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake for 10-12 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a Collins glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Top with club soda or sparkling water, leaving about 1/2 inch at the top.
  • Stir gently with a bar spoon to combine.
  • Garnish with fresh raspberries and a mint sprig.

Notes

The drink should be served right away to keep its fizzy texture.
Fresh raspberries work best, but frozen ones can work in a pinch.
Make it non-alcoholic by skipping the vodka and adding extra club soda.
Store simple syrup in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Pre-chill the glass for an extra cold drink.
