Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka plain works best
  • 3 oz ginger beer spicy or classic
  • 1 oz pumpkin puree unsweetened
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice about half a lime
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup sweeten to taste
  • 0.25 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ice cubes
  • cinnamon stick for garnish
  • lime wedge for garnish
  • extra pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon for rimming the mug, optional

Instructions

  • Fill the copper mug with ice cubes.
  • Add vodka, pumpkin puree, lime juice, simple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice to the mug.
  • Stir well with a bar spoon until the pumpkin puree blends in and the drink looks smooth.
  • Pour in ginger beer and stir gently.
  • For a rim, dip the mug’s edge in water or lime juice, then into pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon on a small plate.
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a lime wedge.

Notes

Add more simple syrup for extra sweetness. Use fresh lime juice for the best flavor. Adjust pumpkin pie spice to your taste. Not all ginger beers are the same, so pick your favorite. For a non-alcoholic version, skip the vodka and add more ginger beer. Prep everything but the ginger beer ahead and top right before serving.
