Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree unflavored, not pumpkin pie filling
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or other natural sweetener
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice or mix cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice fresh or bottled
  • 1/2 cup ginger beer or ginger ale
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract to a mixing glass.
  • Pour in orange juice and mix until smooth with a whisk or spoon.
  • Add a handful of ice cubes.
  • Pour in ginger beer or ginger ale, then sparkling water.
  • Stir gently to combine, keeping as much fizz as possible.
  • Strain into a tall glass filled with fresh ice if you want it extra smooth.
  • Top with whipped cream or a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice if desired.
  • Serve with a straw or spoon.

Notes

Pure pumpkin puree and real maple syrup taste better than flavored syrups. Add more cinnamon or nutmeg if you want a bigger spice kick. Adjust sweetness with more or less maple syrup or sparkling water. For a creamy twist, swirl whipped cream directly into the drink. Leftover pumpkin puree keeps in the fridge for about a week. This mocktail is caffeine-free and a fun option for fall parties.
