Prosecco With Cranberry And Lime Cocktail Recipe

Prosecco with Cranberry and Lime Cocktail Recipe
This drink is bright, refreshing, and ridiculously easy to make at home. I stick to simple ingredients and tools for a sparkling cocktail that’s got just the right amount of tartness.

Equipment

  • Champagne or wine flute
  • Measuring jigger or small measuring cup
  • Long spoon or cocktail stirrer
  • Citrus Juicer: For fresh lime juice.
  • Small bowl (for garnishes, if desired)
  • Ice (optional, for chilling)

Ingredients

  • 4 oz chilled prosecco
  • 1 oz cranberry juice unsweetened or sweetened, up to you
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 tsp simple syrup optional, if you like it sweeter
  • Fresh cranberries for garnish
  • Lime wheel or wedge for garnish
  • Ice cubes optional, for serving

Instructions

  • Chill the prosecco, cranberry juice, and glass before starting.
  • Pour the cranberry juice and lime juice into the flute.
  • Add simple syrup if I want a sweeter taste.
  • Gently top with prosecco, pouring slowly to avoid overflow.
  • Stir slowly with a long spoon to combine, taking care not to lose the bubbles.
  • Drop a few cranberries into the glass and add a lime wheel or wedge to garnish.
  • Serve immediately, with or without ice.

Notes

If I’m using sweetened cranberry juice, I usually skip the simple syrup. No one wants a sugar bomb. The fresh cranberries are mainly for looks, so don’t stress if you’re out.
For less sweetness, I go with unsweetened juice and either halve the syrup or leave it out. Prosecco brands all taste a bit different, so I’ll try a few and see which one feels right for this recipe.
This cocktail is a good match with light snacks or appetizers. If I’m making drinks for a group, I just scale the ingredients up but keep the same ratios for each glass.
