Equipment

  • Champagne or wine glasses
  • Measuring jigger or small measuring cup
  • Long stirring spoon
  • Ice bucket (for chilling Prosecco, optional)
  • Small funnel (optional, for easier pouring)
  • Bar towel (helps wipe any spills)
  • Citrus zester or sharp knife, if adding a lemon twist

Ingredients

  • 100 ml chilled Prosecco
  • 25 ml elderflower cordial
  • Ice cubes optional
  • Lemon twist or fresh mint sprig for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Chill the Prosecco well before serving.
  • Place 2–3 ice cubes into each glass, if using ice.
  • Pour 25 ml elderflower cordial into the glass.
  • Top up each glass with 100 ml Prosecco, pouring slowly to avoid too many bubbles.
  • Stir gently with a long spoon to combine.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist or mint sprig.

Notes

For the best taste, I always use chilled Prosecco and quality elderflower cordial. If I want a lighter drink, I add a splash of soda water.
This recipe is easy to double or triple for more people. I sometimes experiment with different garnishes, like a slice of cucumber.
Honestly, I stick to simple, fresh ingredients since they make a big difference in the final flavor. I avoid shaking or stirring too hard, since that flattens the bubbles and, well, nobody wants that.
