Pomegranate Sparkling Water Cocktail Recipe

Pomegranate Sparkling Water Cocktail Recipe
I usually make this bright, refreshing drink with a handful of ingredients and whatever basic kitchen gear I’ve got on hand. It’s light, super easy to mix, and honestly, it just feels right for warm weather or when friends come over.

Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker or mason jar with lid: I use this to mix everything up really well.
  • Measuring jigger or small measuring cup: Makes it easy to get the right amounts.
  • Tall glass: For serving, obviously.
  • Bar spoon or stirring spoon: Helps get things blended, especially if you’re not shaking.
  • Strainer: Handy if you want to skip the seeds or any pulp.
  • Knife and cutting board: For slicing up lemons or limes if you’re into garnishes.
  • Ice: Gotta keep it cold.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz pomegranate juice fresh is great, but store-bought, unsweetened works fine too
  • 4 oz sparkling water plain or lightly flavored, and cold—trust me, it matters
  • 1 oz simple syrup or more, if you’ve got a sweet tooth
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Optional garnishes:
  • Pomegranate seeds
  • Lemon slices
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Lime wedge for a little extra zip

Instructions

  • Fill your glass or shaker with ice cubes.
  • Pour in 2 oz pomegranate juice and 1 oz lemon juice.
  • Add 1 oz simple syrup to the mix.
  • Put the lid on and shake well for about 10 seconds, or just stir if a shaker isn’t your thing.
  • Strain the mixture into a tall glass over fresh ice.
  • Slowly top with 4 oz sparkling water.
  • Give it a gentle stir to bring it all together.
  • Garnish with pomegranate seeds, lemon slices, and mint leaves if you like.
  • Serve right away while it’s still cold and fizzy.

Notes

If I can get my hands on fresh pomegranate juice, I’ll use that—just tastes better. Bottled juice is totally fine if you’re in a rush. And keep that sparkling water cold for the best fizz.
Sometimes I swap sparkling water for club soda or lemon seltzer, just for a change. If you’re feeling like a real cocktail, toss in an ounce of vodka or gin with the juices.
Pomegranate seeds and mint make the drink pop visually and add a little flavor, but honestly, they’re optional. I always taste and tweak the syrup or lemon to fit what I’m in the mood for.
