Equipment

  • Large pitcher (2-quart capacity)
  • Long-handled wooden spoon
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Measuring cups
  • Wine glasses for serving

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches sliced
  • 1 bottle 750ml dry white wine (Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 3 cups cold unsweetened iced tea
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 1 orange sliced
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  • Slice the peaches, lemon, and orange into thin pieces.
  • Pour the white wine into the pitcher. Add the sliced fruits.
  • Mix the honey with 1/2 cup of the iced tea until dissolved. Add this mixture to the pitcher.
  • Pour in the remaining iced tea and stir gently with the wooden spoon.
  • Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours to let the flavors blend.
  • Add ice to wine glasses and pour the sangria. Top each glass with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

The sangria stays fresh in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
For a stronger peach flavor, use peach-flavored iced tea instead of plain.
Add a splash of peach schnapps for extra sweetness.
Make a non-alcoholic version by replacing the wine with white grape juice.
Fresh peaches work best, but frozen peaches can work in winter months.
