Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh-squeezed orange juice about 4-5 oranges
  • 1 cup rosemary simple syrup
  • 2 cups sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh rosemary sprigs for garnish
  • Orange slices for garnish

For Rosemary Simple Syrup:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 fresh rosemary sprigs

Instructions

Make the simple syrup:

  • Combine water and sugar in a saucepan

  • Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes
  • Remove from heat and let cool for 30 minutes
  • Strain and store in the refrigerator

Mix the mocktail:

  • Fill glasses with ice cubes
  • Pour 1/4 cup rosemary simple syrup into each glass
  • Add 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • Top with 1/2 cup sparkling water
  • Stir gently with a bar spoon

Garnish and serve:

  • Add a fresh rosemary sprig
  • Float an orange slice on top

Notes

The rosemary simple syrup stays fresh in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Make a larger batch by keeping the same ratio of ingredients.
For best results, use freshly squeezed orange juice. Store-bought juice works too, but choose one without added sugar.
The drink can be made ahead of time except for the sparkling water. Add it just before serving to keep the fizz.
