  • Heatproof mug or measuring cup
  • Mixing spoon
  • Citrus juicer
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Pitcher
  • Tall glasses
  • Ice cube tray

Ingredients

  • 2 green tea bags
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar (to taste)
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves lightly crushed
  • 1 cup cold water
  • ice cubes
  • lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  • Boil 2 cups of water and pour into a mug or measuring cup.
  • Steep green tea bags for 3–4 minutes, then remove the bags.
  • Stir in honey or sugar while the tea is warm.
  • Add crushed mint leaves and let sit for 5 minutes, then strain out the mint.
  • Pour tea into a pitcher and add lemon juice and cold water.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Fill glasses with ice, pour in tea mixture, and garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs.

Notes

Adjust sweetness and lemon to your taste. For extra mint flavor, steep the leaves a bit longer. Freeze extra tea in ice cubes to avoid dilution.
