Ingredients

  • 6 fresh oranges
  • 1 bottle chilled Prosecco or Champagne
  • Optional garnish: orange slices or twists

  • 3 oz fresh orange juice
  • 3 oz chilled sparkling wine

Instructions

  • Wash oranges and cut them in half.
  • Squeeze oranges using a manual juicer. Strain juice through a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp.
  • Chill fresh orange juice for at least 30 minutes.
  • Fill champagne flutes halfway (3 oz) with chilled sparkling wine.
  • Gently pour 3 oz of cold orange juice into each glass.
  • Add garnish if desired. Serve right away.

Notes

Fresh juice makes a big difference in taste compared to store-bought. Choose ripe, sweet oranges.
Store leftover juice in an airtight container for up to 24 hours.
Don't mix ingredients ahead of time - combine just before serving to keep the bubbles fresh.
Keep all ingredients very cold for the best results.
