  • Jigger
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Hurricane glass or tall glass
  • Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 oz white rum
  • 1 ripe mango peeled and diced
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz orange juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Mango slice and mint sprig for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  • Add diced mango to the cocktail shaker and muddle until smooth.
  • Pour in the white rum, lime juice, orange juice, and simple syrup.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a hurricane glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a mango slice and mint sprig.

Notes

The drink tastes best with fresh, ripe mangoes. Frozen mango chunks work as a substitute when fresh aren't available.
Store leftover simple syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
For a frozen version, blend all ingredients with 1 cup of ice until smooth.
To make it non-alcoholic, replace the rum with coconut water or club soda.
