Equipment

  • Large pitcher
  • Wooden spoon or long-handled spoon
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Wine glasses for serving

Ingredients

Here's what you'll need to make this tasty cocktail:

  • 1 bottle 750 ml white wine, chilled
  • 1 cup lychee juice
  • 1/4 cup rose syrup
  • 1 can 20 oz lychees in syrup, drained and halved
  • 1 lime thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and quartered
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 2 cups club soda chilled
  • Ice cubes for serving

Choose a crisp white wine like Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc. For a non-alcoholic version, swap the wine for white grape juice.

Instructions

Follow these steps to make your lychee rose sangria:

  • Pour the white wine, lychee juice, and rose syrup into a large pitcher. Stir well to mix.
  • Add the halved lychees, lime slices, strawberries, and mint leaves to the pitcher.
  • Gently stir the fruit into the wine mixture.
  • Cover the pitcher and chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours or up to 8 hours.
  • Just before serving, add the club soda and stir gently.
  • Fill glasses with ice and pour the sangria over the ice.
  • Garnish each glass with extra fruit and mint if desired.

Notes

This recipe serves 6-8 people. You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less rose syrup.
For best results, use fresh lychees when in season. If using canned, drain well and rinse lightly to remove excess syrup.
Make sure all ingredients are well-chilled before mixing. This helps the flavors blend and keeps the drink cold longer.
You can prep the fruit ahead of time and store it in the fridge until ready to use.
Leftovers keep in the fridge for up to 2 days, but the fruit may start to soften. Add fresh club soda when serving again to bring back the fizz.
