Equipment

  • Large glass pitcher (64 oz capacity)
  • Sharp knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Wooden spoon
  • Melon baller
  • Wine glasses
  • Fine-mesh strainer

Ingredients

  • 2 bottles dry white wine Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc
  • 1 medium honeydew melon scooped into balls
  • 4 kiwis peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup triple sec
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 1 lime sliced
  • 2 cups club soda
  • Ice for serving

Instructions

  • Wash and prepare all fruits. Peel and slice kiwis. Use melon baller to create melon spheres.
  • Add fruit to the pitcher. Then, pour in white wine, triple sec, and simple syrup.
  • Stir gently with a wooden spoon to mix ingredients.
  • Place pitcher in refrigerator for 4-6 hours to let flavors blend.
  • Just before serving, add club soda and stir once.
  • Fill wine glasses with ice and pour sangria. Make sure to include fruit in each glass.

Notes

Store leftover sangria without ice in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
The fruit can be eaten after drinking - it will be full of wine flavor.
For a stronger drink, add an extra 1/4 cup of triple sec.
To make it less sweet, reduce simple syrup to 2 tablespoons.
Replace club soda with lemon-lime soda for extra sweetness.
