Equipment

  • Large glass pitcher (2-quart capacity)
  • Sharp knife and cutting board
  • Long-handled wooden spoon
  • Wine glasses for serving
  • Citrus juicer
  • Fine-mesh strainer

Ingredients

  • 2 bottles dry white wine Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc
  • 1/2 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • 2 oranges sliced
  • 2 lemons sliced
  • 2 limes sliced
  • 1 grapefruit sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh-squeezed orange juice
  • Club soda for topping
  • Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  • Wash and slice all citrus fruits into thin rounds.
  • Add the citrus slices to the pitcher.
  • Pour in the white wine, brandy, triple sec, and orange juice.
  • Stir gently with a wooden spoon to mix the ingredients.
  • Place the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or up to 24 hours.
  • When ready to serve, fill wine glasses with ice.
  • Pour the sangria into glasses, leaving room for club soda.
  • Top each glass with a splash of club soda and garnish with fresh citrus slices.

Notes

Store any leftover sangria in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
The fruits can be eaten after drinking - they absorb the wine and become a tasty treat.
For a stronger citrus flavor, squeeze one orange directly into the pitcher before adding the sliced fruits.
Add a handful of fresh mint leaves for an extra layer of freshness.
For a less alcoholic version, replace one bottle of wine with white grape juice.
