  • Cocktail shaker
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Muddler
  • Measuring jigger
  • Champagne flute or tall glass
  • Small saucepan (for syrup)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz lavender simple syrup
  • 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 4 oz prosecco or champagne
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh blueberries and lavender sprigs for garnish

For Lavender Simple Syrup:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender

Instructions

  • Add blueberries to a cocktail shaker and muddle until crushed.
  • Pour vodka, lavender simple syrup, and lemon juice into the shaker.
  • Fill with ice and shake for 15-20 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a champagne flute or tall glass filled with ice.
  • Top with prosecco or champagne and stir gently.
  • Garnish with fresh blueberries and a sprig of lavender.

To Make Lavender Simple Syrup:

  • Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan
  • Heat until sugar dissolves
  • Add lavender and simmer for 5 minutes
  • Remove from heat and steep for 30 minutes
  • Strain and cool before using

Notes

Make the lavender syrup up to 2 weeks in advance and store it in the fridge.
Fresh or frozen blueberries work well in this recipe.
For a non-alcoholic version, replace vodka with club soda and prosecco with sparkling water.
The drink tastes best when served very cold.
