Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka or tequila for a twist
  • 1 oz blue curacao
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • 4-6 oz ginger beer low-sugar works well too
  • crushed ice
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • blueberries for garnish or muddling
  • lime wedge for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a copper mug or highball glass with crushed ice.
  • Pour in vodka and blue curacao.
  • Add fresh lime juice.
  • Top with ginger beer slowly to keep the fizz.
  • Stir gently with a bar spoon.
  • Garnish with mint leaves, blueberries, and a lime wedge. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra fruit flavor, muddle blueberries and mint in the bottom of the mug before adding ice. Use tequila instead of vodka for a sharper taste, or ginger ale for a lighter version. Serve in a copper mug for tradition, or use a highball glass. Adjust ginger beer amount to taste.
