Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Strainer
  • Champagne flute or tall glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Ice

Ingredients

For one Apricot Tequila Sparkler cocktail, you'll need:

  • 1.5 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz apricot nectar
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.25 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz chilled sparkling wine
  • Apricot slice for garnish

Use good quality tequila for the best taste. Fresh lemon juice works better than bottled. You can make simple syrup at home by mixing equal parts sugar and hot water.

Instructions

  • Fill the cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add tequila, apricot nectar, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.
  • Shake hard for 10-15 seconds to chill and mix ingredients.
  • Strain into a chilled champagne flute or tall glass.
  • Top with sparkling wine.
  • Stir gently with a bar spoon to mix.
  • Garnish with an apricot slice.

Serve right away while the drink is cold and bubbly.

    Notes

This recipe can be doubled or tripled for a group. Prep ingredients ahead of time for easier serving.
Try different fruit nectars like peach or mango for variety. Adjust the simple syrup to taste if you prefer a sweeter or less sweet drink.
For a non-alcoholic version, replace tequila with more fruit nectar and use sparkling water instead of wine.
Keep sparkling wine and glasses chilled for the best results. Flat, warm sparkling wine won't taste as good in this cocktail.
