  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Small saucepan (for simple syrup)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups apple cider
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon simple syrup
  • 2 cups sparkling water

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  • Stir until sugar dissolves. Let it cool for 30 minutes, then remove the cinnamon sticks.
  • Pour apple cider into a large pitcher.
  • Add the cooled cinnamon simple syrup and stir well.
  • Fill tall glasses with ice cubes.
  • Pour the apple cider mixture into glasses, filling them 2/3 full.
  • Top each glass with sparkling water.
  • Garnish with apple slices and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.

Notes

The cinnamon simple syrup can be made up to one week ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
For best results, use fresh, high-quality apple cider rather than apple juice.
This recipe serves 4-6 people and can be doubled for larger groups.
Keep sparkling water chilled until ready to use to maintain maximum fizz.
