Tasting Notes
When I take a sip of the Lavender Rose Gin Fizz, the first thing I notice is its gentle floral aroma.
The scent of lavender and rose comes through softly, making the drink smell fresh and inviting.
The flavor starts with a light sweetness from the syrup.
After that, juniper notes from the gin blend with the floral taste, creating a balanced sip.
It does not feel too strong or overpowering.
I appreciate how the fizz from the club soda brings a bright, crisp texture.
The bubbles help the floral flavors linger for a moment.
This refreshing quality makes each sip feel light and cooling.
I find the balance of floral, sweet, and herbal flavors keeps the drink interesting but easy to enjoy.
The color is also eye-catching, with pale purple tones highlighting the floral theme.
Substitute
Sometimes I just don’t have all the original ingredients at home. Here are a few options I go for when I’m out of something but still craving a Lavender Rose Gin Fizz.
Equipment
- Cocktail shaker
- Strainer
- Measuring spoons
Ingredients
- Gin: Honestly, I’ll use vodka for a lighter flavor if that’s what’s in the cabinet.
- Lavender syrup: If I’m out, honey syrup or even simple syrup with a drop of vanilla does the trick.
- Rosewater: Sometimes I swap in a splash of orange blossom water, or just skip it if I’m feeling lazy.
- Lemon juice: Lime juice is close enough for that tart kick.
- Club soda: Tonic water or plain sparkling water—whatever’s cold in the fridge.
Instructions
- If I’m swapping the main spirit, I just use the same amount as the recipe calls for.
- Trying a new syrup? I always taste it first so it doesn’t overpower everything. Learned that one the hard way.
- Sparkling water goes in last, or you’ll lose all the fizz. No one wants a flat drink.
- I try not to shake it too hard if there’s sparkling water in there—unless you like a mess and a lot of foam.
