Every year when the holidays creep up, I get the itch to make a punch that everyone can get excited about. This time, I wanted something a little different, so I came up with my Festive Cookie Punch Cocktail.
This holiday punch is sweet, easy to throw together, and honestly, it tastes like you dipped a cookie right into your glass.
Your friends and family will probably be surprised at how much this cocktail reminds them of something from the cookie jar. If you’re on the hunt for a new signature drink for your next party, give this one a go.
Festive Cookie Punch Cocktail Recipe
I really love serving this spiced punch around the holidays. It’s got cinnamon, allspice, and ginger ale, mixed with bright juices and a splash of vodka.
It all comes together fast, and the flavors just scream “fresh-baked holiday cookies.”
Equipment
- Punch bowl (big enough for 10-12 servings)
- Large mixing spoon
- Measuring cups
- Measuring spoons
- Small saucepan (for warming up the spices with juice)
- Fine mesh strainer (to keep out any whole spices, if you use them)
- Ladle
- Glasses or cups (for serving)
- Ice bucket or tray
A punch bowl’s kind of essential, since you want everything to chill together. The mesh strainer is handy for catching any spice bits you don’t want in your glass.
Ingredients
- 3 cups cranberry juice
- 2 cups orange juice
- 1 cup pomegranate juice
- 1 ½ cups vodka (leave out for a non-alcoholic version)
- 2 cups ginger ale
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 4 whole cloves
- ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
- Sliced oranges or cranberries (for garnish)
- Ice cubes
I usually go for fresh juice if I can swing it—it just pops more. The cinnamon and cloves really bring that warm, cookie-ish vibe, especially with the allspice mixed in.
Instructions
- Pour cranberry juice, orange juice, and pomegranate juice into your punch bowl.
- In a small saucepan, gently heat ½ cup of the juice with the cinnamon stick, cloves, and allspice for about 5 minutes. Strain and pour it back into the punch bowl.
- Add the vodka.
- Give everything a good stir so it’s nicely mixed.
- Pour in the ginger ale right before you serve, so it keeps its fizz.
- Drop in orange slices and cranberries for garnish.
- Fill glasses with ice, then ladle punch into each one.
Seriously, you want to add the ginger ale last—keeps it lively and bubbly.
Notes
This punch is just better when it’s cold, so I always throw in the ice at the end. If you want a stronger spice hit, let the cinnamon and cloves hang out in the warm juice a bit longer.
Want it booze-free? Just skip the vodka and maybe toss in a little more ginger ale. You can make this a couple hours ahead and chill it in the fridge, too.
Fruit slices make it look festive and add a little flavor boost every time you pour a glass. The cranberry, citrus, and spice combo is classic Christmas punch—sweet, but not over the top.

Tasting Notes
When I take a sip of this Festive Cookie Punch Cocktail, the creamy texture is the first thing that hits me. The milk or cream gives it this smooth, rich vibe—kind of like those old-school Christmas cocktails I used to see at family parties.
The sweetness is definitely there, but honestly, it doesn’t smack you in the face. I catch a bit of vanilla, and that pairs up really well with the gentle kick from the cinnamon and nutmeg.
This blend always feels cozy, especially when it’s freezing outside. There’s also this subtle cookie flavor—probably from the cookie syrup—that just makes me think of holiday baking.
After the first sip, there’s a little warmth from the rum or vodka. It cuts through the sweetness and keeps things from getting too heavy or cloying.
Each sip leaves behind a light, lingering aftertaste of spice and cookie. It’s almost like I just had a bite of a fresh holiday treat.
The cookie crumbs and whipped cream on top? That just takes it up a notch. Feels extra special—definitely something I’d want to share at a holiday get-together.
