Ingredients

  • 1 oz Peach schnapps
  • 0.5 oz Irish cream liqueur (e.g., Baileys)
  • Grenadine syrup a few drops
  • 0.25 oz Blue curaçao
  • splash Vodka or apple schnapps optional, for extra kick
  • Fresh raspberries or pomegranate juice optional
  • Ginger ale or orange juice optional, to lighten
  • Ice for shaking

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add peach schnapps, (optional) vodka or apple schnapps, and blue curaçao. Shake gently.
  • Strain into a shot glass until about two-thirds full.
  • Slowly pour the Irish cream over a bar spoon so it floats and lightly curdles for a brain-like texture.
  • Drop in a few drops of grenadine through the center to create the "zombie brain" effect. Swirl with a straw if desired, and garnish with crushed raspberry.
  • Serve immediately. Optionally lighten with a splash of ginger ale or orange juice.

Notes

The cream curdles more distinctly when poured very slowly over the spoon. Add extra grenadine for sweetness or a splash of vodka for a stronger shot. Also known as a Zombie Brain Hemorrhage when you emphasize the creamy curds for an even spookier look.
