Equipment

  • Copper mug
  • Jigger or shot glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Small plate or bowl
  • Ice scoop or spoon
  • Citrus juicer

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka or bourbon
  • 3 oz ginger beer
  • 1 oz cranberry juice unsweetened preferred
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • Ice cubes enough to fill mug
  • Fresh cranberries for garnish
  • Rosemary sprig for garnish
  • Lime wedge or wheel optional garnish

Instructions

  • Fill your copper mug with ice.
  • Add vodka or bourbon, cranberry juice, and lime juice.
  • Stir gently with bar spoon.
  • Top off with ginger beer. Stir lightly again.
  • Garnish with cranberries, rosemary sprig, and a lime wedge if desired. Serve cold.

Notes

Use vodka for a bright, crisp drink; bourbon makes it warmer and richer. Use strong ginger beer for spice. Freeze cranberries for garnish that keeps drinks cold without dilution.
