  • Strainer
  • Rocks glass or margarita glass
  • Small plate for rimming
  • Spoon or stirrer
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Citrus juicer (optional)
  • Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz Midori melon liqueur
  • 1 oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz simple syrup
  • Splash of pineapple juice approx. ½ oz
  • ½ oz blue curaçao optional, for deeper green color
  • 2 –3 drops green food coloring optional
  • Garnishes: black sanding sugar or black lava salt for rim, lime wedge, green apple slice, gummy worms, or edible glitter
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Optional: ½ oz pomegranate juice for red swirl effect

Instructions

  • Rim the margarita or rocks glass with black sanding sugar or black lava salt. Use a lime wedge to moisten the edge.
  • Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, Midori, triple sec, lime juice, simple syrup, pineapple juice, and blue curaçao (if using).
  • Add green food coloring for an extra vibrant look, if desired.
  • Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
  • Optionally, swirl in pomegranate juice for a red, “potion” look.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge, green apple slice, gummy worms, or a pinch of edible glitter.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
