Rim the margarita or rocks glass with black sanding sugar or black lava salt. Use a lime wedge to moisten the edge.
Fill the glass with ice and set aside.
In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, Midori, triple sec, lime juice, simple syrup, pineapple juice, and blue curaçao (if using).
Add green food coloring for an extra vibrant look, if desired.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until well chilled.
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice.
Optionally, swirl in pomegranate juice for a red, “potion” look.
Garnish with a lime wedge, green apple slice, gummy worms, or a pinch of edible glitter.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
