vodka

fresh lime juice

orange juice
or pomegranate juice

cranberry juice
or apple cider

ginger beer

cinnamon stick

whole cloves

star anise pod
Fresh cranberries

Instructions
Simmer cloves, star anise, and cinnamon stick in a splash of orange juice for 5 minutes.
Strain the spiced juice and let it cool slightly.
Fill cocktail shaker with ice, add vodka, lime juice, cranberry or cider, and the spiced juice.
Shake for 10–15 seconds until chilled.
Strain into a copper mug packed with ice.
Top with ginger beer and stir gently.
Garnish with cranberries and citrus slice.
Notes
Use fresh lime juice for brightness. Adjust spice level by steeping longer or skipping cinnamon. Prepare spiced juice ahead for parties.
