Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker – I always grab one with a tight lid so nothing leaks out
  • Jigger or measuring tool – Helps keep the balance just right.
  • Strainer – Good for getting rid of ice chips or fruit pulp.
  • Rocks glass – I’m partial to a short, sturdy glass over ice.
  • Bar spoon – Handy for stirring syrups or layering flavors.
  • Small plate – I use this for rimming the glass with salt, sugar, or even a little spice.
  • Knife and cutting board – Needed for slicing lime wedges or prepping garnishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Reposado Tequila or Agave Tequila
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz cranberry juice
  • 1/2 oz triple sec
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup

Instructions

  • Fill the cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add tequila, lime juice, cranberry juice or pear syrup, triple sec, and syrup.
  • Shake for about 15 seconds, or until the shaker feels really cold.
  • Strain the mix into a rocks glass with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel.
  • Add a cinnamon stick or rim the glass with sugar or spice if you’re feeling fancy.

Notes

Adjust sweetness and acidity to taste. Garnish with fresh herbs or citrus for a festive touch.
