Equipment
Cocktail shaker
– I always grab one with a tight lid so nothing leaks out
Jigger or measuring tool
– Helps keep the balance just right.
Strainer
– Good for getting rid of ice chips or fruit pulp.
Rocks glass
– I’m partial to a short, sturdy glass over ice.
Bar spoon
– Handy for stirring syrups or layering flavors.
Small plate
– I use this for rimming the glass with salt, sugar, or even a little spice.
Knife and cutting board
– Needed for slicing lime wedges or prepping garnishes.
Ingredients
2
oz
Reposado Tequila or Agave Tequila
1
oz
lime juice
1
oz
cranberry juice
1/2
oz
triple sec
1/2
oz
simple syrup
Instructions
Fill the cocktail shaker with ice.
Add tequila, lime juice, cranberry juice or pear syrup, triple sec, and syrup.
Shake for about 15 seconds, or until the shaker feels really cold.
Strain the mix into a rocks glass with fresh ice.
Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel.
Add a cinnamon stick or rim the glass with sugar or spice if you’re feeling fancy.
Notes
Adjust sweetness and acidity to taste. Garnish with fresh herbs or citrus for a festive touch.
