  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Strainer
  • Rocks glass
  • Small plate
  • Bar spoon
  • Citrus juicer or reamer
  • Paper towel
  • Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz melon liqueur such as Midori
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 oz pineapple juice
  • 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Black lava salt or black sugar for rimming the glass
  • 1 pinch edible glitter optional
  • Ice as needed for shaker and serving
  • 1 lime wheel or wedge for garnish

Instructions

  • Wet the rim of a rocks glass with a lime wedge and dip it into black lava salt or black sugar on a small plate.
  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Add the tequila, melon liqueur, lime juice, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.
  • (Optional) Add a pinch of edible glitter for a swirling effect.
  • Secure the lid and shake well for about 20 seconds.
  • Fill the prepared rocks glass with fresh ice.
  • Strain the shaken cocktail into the glass.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge.
  • Serve immediately for best color and presentation.
