- Cocktail shaker
- Jigger or measuring cup
- Strainer
- Rocks glass
- Small plate
- Bar spoon
- Citrus juicer or reamer
- Paper towel
- Ice
Ingredients
- 2 oz blanco tequila
- 1 oz melon liqueur such as Midori
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- Black lava salt or black sugar for rimming the glass
- 1 pinch edible glitter optional
- Ice as needed for shaker and serving
- 1 lime wheel or wedge for garnish
Instructions
- Wet the rim of a rocks glass with a lime wedge and dip it into black lava salt or black sugar on a small plate.
- Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
- Add the tequila, melon liqueur, lime juice, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.
- (Optional) Add a pinch of edible glitter for a swirling effect.
- Secure the lid and shake well for about 20 seconds.
- Fill the prepared rocks glass with fresh ice.
- Strain the shaken cocktail into the glass.
