This refreshing drink mixes sweet watermelon with tangy lime for a perfect summer beverage. The bright pink color and cool taste make it a great choice for parties and backyard gatherings.
8cupscubed watermelonabout half a medium watermelon
1cupfresh lime juice6-8 limes
1/4cuphoney or agave nectar
2cupscold water
Ice cubes
Mint leaves for garnish
Lime slices for garnish
Optional: Sparkling water for extra fizz
Instructions
Cut the watermelon into 1-inch cubes. Remove any black seeds.
Place the watermelon chunks in a blender. Blend until smooth.
Strain the watermelon puree through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher.
Squeeze the limes to get 1 cup of juice.
Add lime juice and honey to the pitcher. Stir until honey dissolves.
Pour in cold water and mix well.
Taste and add more honey if needed.
Fill glasses with ice cubes.
Pour the mixture into glasses.
Add mint leaves and lime slices on top.

The drink stays fresh in the fridge for up to 2 days. Stir before serving as ingredients may settle.For best results, use ripe, sweet watermelon. A good watermelon should feel heavy and make a hollow sound when tapped.You can freeze leftover watermelon juice in ice cube trays. These cubes work great in place of regular ice.If you want fizz, add sparkling water right before serving. Mix 1 part sparkling water with 2 parts watermelon limeade.
