Equipment

  • Blender
  • Large pitcher
  • Knife
  • Cutting Board
  • Measuring cups
  • Ice cube trays
  • Glasses for serving

Ingredients

For 8 servings:

  • 6 cups cubed seedless watermelon
  • 4 peeled and chopped kiwis
  • 1 cup white rum
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 4 cups ice cubes
  • Mint sprigs and watermelon wedges for garnish

You can adjust the amount of simple syrup to taste. For a non-alcoholic version, replace the rum with lemon-lime soda.

Instructions

  • Add watermelon, kiwi, rum, lime juice, and simple syrup to a blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Pour mixture into a large pitcher. Stir in ice cubes.
  • Chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Pour into glasses and garnish with mint sprigs and watermelon wedges.
  • Stir before serving, as the mixture may separate slightly.
  • Blend in batches if needed. The punch can be made up to 4 hours ahead and stored in the fridge.

Notes

This recipe is easy to scale up for larger parties. Simply double or triple all the ingredients.
For best flavor, use ripe watermelon and kiwis. The fruit should feel heavy for its size and yield slightly to pressure.
You can swap out the white rum for vodka or tequila if you prefer. Coconut rum also works well for a tropical twist.
To make it less sweet, use unsweetened coconut water instead of simple syrup.
