Ingredients

  • 6 oz tomato juice or V8/clamato/organic
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice or lemon juice
  • 0.5 tsp Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce/coconut aminos
  • 2-3 dashes hot sauce Tabasco or sriracha
  • Pinch celery salt
  • Pinch black pepper
  • Pinch cayenne pepper or celery seed
  • 0.25 tsp horseradish optional
  • Splash pickle juice or dill pickle juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Celery stick or lemon wedge for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
  • In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass, add tomato juice, lime or lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce.
  • Add celery salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and horseradish if using.
  • Pour in a splash of pickle juice for tang. Shake lightly or stir with bar spoon.
  • Strain into your prepared glass.
  • Garnish with a celery stick or lemon wedge.

Notes

Adjust the spice to taste. Try clamato juice for a 'virgin Caesar' or V8 for a richer version. Rim glass with sea salt or use coconut aminos for a different flavor. Garnishes matter—try celery, lemon, or a pickle spear.
