Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Collins glass (12-14 oz)
  • Ice scoop
  • Citrus juicer
  • Strainer
  • Long stirring spoon
  • Cutting Board
  • Sharp knife

Ingredients

  • 2 oz premium vodka
  • 4 oz fresh-squeezed lemonade
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon wheel for garnish
  • Fresh mint sprig for garnish

For homemade lemonade:

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water

Instructions

  • Fill the Collins glass 3/4 full with ice cubes.
  • Pour vodka and lemonade into the cocktail shaker.
  • Add ice to the shaker and shake for 10-15 seconds until well-chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into the prepared Collins glass.
  • Taste and add simple syrup if needed.
  • Garnish with a lemon wheel and mint sprig.

For homemade lemonade:

  • Mix sugar with 1 cup hot water until dissolved.
  • Add lemon juice and remaining cold water.
  • Stir well and chill before using.

Notes

Fresh-squeezed lemon juice gives better taste than store-bought lemonade.
Store homemade lemonade in the fridge for up to 5 days.
For a stronger drink, add an extra 1/2 oz of vodka.
Keep vodka in the freezer for an extra-cold cocktail.
This recipe makes one serving. Double or triple ingredients for more drinks.
