Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring cup
  • Strainer
  • Tall glass or hurricane glass
  • Bar spoon
  • Ice scoop
  • Small plate

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vanilla vodka
  • 1 oz coconut rum
  • 3 oz pineapple juice
  • 1 oz orange juice
  • 0.5 oz cream of coconut
  • 0.5 oz fresh lime juice
  • Ice cubes for shaking and serving
  • Pineapple slice or cherry for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill your cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  • Add the vanilla vodka, coconut rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, cream of coconut, and fresh lime juice to the shaker.
  • Secure the lid and shake hard for about 15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker feels very cold and the mixture looks smooth and creamy.
  • Pack a chilled tall glass or hurricane glass with fresh ice cubes.
  • Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over the ice.
  • Garnish with a pineapple slice or a cherry and serve immediately while cold and creamy.

Notes

The vanilla vodka smooths out the bright pineapple and orange, while cream of coconut adds a soft, silky texture. Fresh lime juice keeps everything lively and prevents the drink from becoming overly sweet.
For a lighter version, skip the cream of coconut and top with a splash of soda water. You can also adjust the citrus by adding a touch more lime if you like a sharper, tangier finish.
Chill your juices and spirits ahead of time so the drink stays frosty and doesn’t dilute too quickly once it hits the ice.
