Equipment

  • A cocktail shaker
  • A strainer
  • A tall glass
  • A measuring cup
  • A spoon
  • Ice

Ingredients

For one serving, you'll need:

  • 1/2 cup brewed chai tea cooled
  • 1/4 cup vanilla syrup
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup soda water
  • Ice cubes
  • Cinnamon stick and star anise for garnish optional

The chai tea gives the drink its signature flavor. Vanilla syrup adds sweetness, while heavy cream makes it rich and smooth. Soda water provides the fizz.

Instructions

  • Brew chai tea and let it cool.
  • Fill the shaker with ice.
  • Add chai tea, vanilla syrup, and heavy cream to the shaker.
  • Shake well for about 15 seconds.
  • Strain the mixture into a tall glass filled with ice.
  • Top with soda water and stir gently.
  • If desired, garnish with a cinnamon stick and star anise.
  • Serve and enjoy!

This method ensures all ingredients mix well and stay cold. The soda water is added last to keep the fizz.

    Notes

This recipe can be adjusted to taste. For a stronger chai flavor, use more tea. For a sweeter drink, add more vanilla syrup. The heavy cream can be replaced with non-dairy options like almond or oat milk for a vegan version.
Make sure the chai tea is completely cool before mixing. Hot tea can melt the ice too quickly and water down the drink.
For best results, serve the mocktail right away. The fizz from the soda water will decrease over time.
