Ingredients

  • 1 vanilla bean split and seeds scraped out
  • 1 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
  • ice cubes as needed for texture
  • 1 tablespoon cacao nibs optional, for topping
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Split vanilla bean and scrape out seeds.
  • Add milk, frozen banana, honey or maple syrup, vanilla bean seeds, and vanilla extract to blender.
  • Add yogurt, pinch of salt, and ice cubes for texture.
  • Blend on high until smooth and creamy, pausing to scrape down sides as needed.
  • Pour into glass or jar. Sprinkle with cacao nibs if desired. Serve immediately with a straw.

Notes

Use ripe, frozen banana for natural sweetness and creaminess. For dairy-free, choose plant-based milk and yogurt. Add more vanilla extract for stronger vanilla flavor. Adjust milk amount for desired thickness.
