Equipment

  • Blender
  • Tall glasses
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Citrus juicer (optional)
  • Ice

Ingredients

For 2 servings:

  • 2 ripe mangoes peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup
  • 2 cups ice
  • Mint leaves and lime slices for garnish

Pick mangoes that are soft and fragrant for the best flavor. Fresh-squeezed orange and lime juice taste great, but bottled works too. To make simple syrup, mix equal parts sugar and water and heat until dissolved.

Instructions

  • Add mangoes, orange juice, lime juice, and simple syrup to the blender.
  • Blend until smooth, about 30 seconds.
  • Add ice and blend again until slushy.
  • Pour into glasses and garnish with mint and lime slices.
  • Serve right away and enjoy!

Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup. For a thinner drink, add a splash of water or coconut water. You can make this ahead of time, but give it a quick blend before serving to remix.

    Notes

This recipe is easy to change up. Try other fruits like pineapple or strawberries. Coconut water makes a nice swap for some of the orange juice. For extra flavor, add a pinch of chili powder or ginger.
The mocktail will keep in the fridge for a day, but it tastes best fresh. If you have leftovers, freeze them in popsicle molds for a cool treat. This drink is great for parties – just scale up the recipe as needed.
