Equipment

  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger
  • Strainer
  • Bar spoon
  • Rocks glass
  • Small plate
  • Whisk or hand frother

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz vodka
  • 1 oz gin optional
  • 1 oz Kahlúa or any coffee liqueur
  • 2 oz heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 tbsp chocolate syrup plus extra for rimming and topping
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Ground ginger or crushed ginger cookies for rimming/sprinkling
  • Ice cubes for shaking

Instructions

  • Rim your glass with chocolate syrup or crushed ginger cookies.
  • Fill the shaker halfway with ice. Add vodka, gin (if using), Kahlúa, cream, and chocolate syrup.
  • Shake hard for 15–20 seconds until cold and a little frothy.
  • Strain into your rimmed glass.
  • Top with whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
  • Sprinkle ground ginger or cookie crumbs on top to finish.

Notes

Serve immediately for best texture. For lighter flavor, use milk instead of cream. Extra chocolate syrup sweetens it up if desired. The ginger or cookie rim makes it feel like a true holiday dessert!
