  • Champagne flute or coupe
  • Citrus juicer
  • Bar spoon
  • Peeler or knife

Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz dry champagne or sparkling wine, chilled
  • 1 twist lemon peel garnish
  • ice

Instructions

  • Add bourbon, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker.
  • Add ice and shake for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled.
  • Strain into a chilled flute or coupe.
  • Top slowly with dry champagne or sparkling wine.
  • Garnish with a lemon twist (or a maraschino cherry) and serve.

Notes

Use a smooth, mid-proof bourbon and Brut sparkling wine for balance. Adjust syrup to taste. Always add bubbles last to preserve effervescence.
