Tequila Sunset Cocktail Recipe
The Tequila Sunset creates a colorful layered drink with orange juice, tequila, and grenadine that settles at the bottom for a stunning red to orange gradient effect.

- Tall Collins glass
- Jigger or measuring tool
- Bar spoon
- Ice scoop
- Cocktail strainer
Ingredients
- 2 oz silver tequila
- 4 oz fresh orange juice
- ½ oz grenadine syrup
- Ice cubes
- Orange slice and cherry for garnish
Instructions
- Fill a Collins glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the tequila into the glass.
- Add fresh orange juice and stir gently with a bar spoon.
- Slowly pour the grenadine down the side of the glass. It will sink to the bottom, creating a gradient effect.
- Do not stir after adding grenadine, as this will mix the layers together.
- Garnish with an orange slice and cherry.
Notes
Fresh-squeezed orange juice works best for this recipe.
Store grenadine in the refrigerator after opening.
