  • Collins glass

  • Citrus juicer

Ingredients

  • 2 oz silver tequila
  • 4 oz fresh lemonade
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon wheel for garnish
  • Fresh mint sprig optional

For homemade lemonade:

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups water

Instructions

  • Fill the cocktail shaker halfway with ice.
  • Pour tequila, lemonade, and simple syrup into the shaker.
  • Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Fill a Collins glass with fresh ice.
  • Strain the mixture into the glass.
  • Garnish with a lemon wheel and mint sprig if desired.

For homemade lemonade:

  • Mix sugar with 1 cup hot water until it dissolves.
  • Add the remaining water and lemon juice.
  • Stir and chill.

Notes

Use 100% agave silver tequila for the best results. Store-bought lemonade works, but fresh-squeezed makes a noticeable difference.
Chill the glass in the freezer for 5 minutes before mixing to keep the drink cold. This recipe makes one serving.
Double or triple ingredients to serve more guests. Mix the drink right before serving to keep it fresh.
