  • Cocktail shaker
  • Jigger or measuring tool
  • Bar spoon
  • Ice

Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz simple syrup
  • Club soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon wheel and cherry for garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add tequila, lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.
  • Shake well for 10-15 seconds until chilled.
  • Fill a Collins glass with fresh ice.
  • Strain the mixture into the glass.
  • Top with club soda (about 2-3 oz).
  • Stir gently with a bar spoon to combine.
  • Garnish with a lemon wheel and cherry.

Notes

Fresh lemon juice makes a big difference in taste compared to bottled juice. Squeeze lemons right before mixing for best results.
The drink should be crisp and balanced. If it tastes too sour, add a bit more simple syrup. If too sweet, add more lemon juice.
Keep ingredients and glasses cold. Warm ingredients will make the drink less refreshing and dilute faster.
This recipe serves one person. Double or triple the amounts to make multiple drinks at once.
