Fill your wine glass or highball glass with ice to chill.
Lightly muddle basil leaves with simple syrup in a shaker.
Add tangerine juice, lemon juice, and vodka or gin (if using).
Shake with ice for about 10–15 seconds.
Strain into the chilled glass over fresh ice.
Top with prosecco and a splash of soda water.
If using aperol, pour it gently so it floats a bit.
Gently stir once with a bar spoon.
Garnish with a tangerine slice and fresh basil leaf.
Notes
Use fresh juice for best flavor. Adjust sweetness by using honey or agave. Aperol adds gentle bitterness. For a lighter drink, skip the vodka or gin and just use sparkling wine.
