Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin dry
  • 1 oz plum syrup or plum brandy
  • 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3 oz sparkling wine or champagne
  • 1 plum sliced for garnish
  • 0.25 oz simple syrup optional, if sweeter taste desired
  • Ice cubes for shaking

Instructions

  • Fill your cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add gin, plum syrup (or brandy), and lemon juice.
  • Shake for 10–15 seconds until well chilled.
  • Strain into a chilled champagne flute or coupe glass.
  • Top with sparkling wine.
  • Garnish with a plum slice on a cocktail pick.

Notes

For a lighter drink, use extra sparkling wine or swap with soda water. Try plum brandy for a richer flavor. A sugared rim or fresh plum wedge makes a great garnish.
