Equipment

  • Martini glass
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Strainer
  • Measuring jigger
  • Bar spoon
  • Small plate
  • Knife and cutting board

Ingredients

  • 2 oz strawberry vodka or plain vodka
  • 1 oz white crème de cacao or chocolate liqueur
  • 1 oz half and half or light cream
  • 0.5 oz strawberry syrup or strawberry simple syrup
  • 0.25 oz chocolate syrup or chocolate simple syrup
  • dry vermouth dash, optional
  • ice cubes for shaking
  • fresh strawberries for garnish
  • chocolate shavings or sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  • Chill your martini glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes.
  • Pour vodka, crème de cacao, half and half, strawberry syrup, and chocolate syrup into a cocktail shaker.
  • Fill the shaker about two-thirds full with ice.
  • Shake it hard for 15–20 seconds, until the shaker feels cold.
  • Strain the mix into your chilled glass.
  • Garnish with a fresh strawberry or a chocolate covered strawberry on the rim.
  • Add chocolate shavings or sprinkles to the rim for a festive touch.

Notes

Rim the glass with chocolate syrup and sprinkles or sugar for extra festiveness. For more strawberry flavor, muddle a berry in the shaker first. Best enjoyed freshly made, while cold and frothy.
