Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries hulled and sliced
  • 6-8 fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons honey or simple syrup adjust to taste
  • 0.25 cup fresh lemon juice (about 1–2 lemons)
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • ice cubes for serving
  • optional: mint leaves or thyme for garnish
  • optional: lavender syrup for a floral note

Instructions

  • Slice strawberries and add to a mixing glass or pitcher.
  • Add basil leaves and muddle gently to release flavor.
  • Stir in honey or simple syrup until mixed with fruit juices.
  • Pour in lemon juice and stir again.
  • Strain the mixture if desired for a smoother drink.
  • Fill glasses with ice and pour in the strawberry-basil mixture.
  • Top with sparkling water or club soda and stir lightly.

Notes
