A festive green spin on the classic whiskey sour—Irish whiskey, fresh lime (or lemon), simple syrup, and an optional egg white for silky foam. A single drop of green food coloring brings the holiday vibe.
Optional: Add egg white to the shaker first for a foamy texture.
Add Irish whiskey, fresh lime (or lemon) juice, simple syrup, and one drop of green food coloring.
If using egg white, dry shake (no ice) for 10 seconds. Add ice and shake again for 12–15 seconds until well chilled.
Double strain into a chilled rocks or coupe glass. Garnish with mint or a lime wheel. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use fresh citrus for the brightest flavor. Adjust sweetness with more or less syrup. Skip the coloring for a classic look, or substitute lemon juice for a slightly softer sour.
