Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice blood orange if available
  • 1/2 cup grapefruit juice
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon simple syrup optional, for extra sweetness
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger or 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
  • sparkling water, ginger ale, or tonic water to top
  • ice cubes spooky shapes or big cubes if possible
  • fresh mint leaves or basil for garnish
  • sliced orange, lemon, and blood orange for garnish
  • muddled basil optional, for extra herb flavor

Instructions

  • Pour orange juice, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, and lime juice into a cocktail shaker.
  • Add honey, simple syrup, ginger, and muddled basil (if using).
  • Fill the shaker halfway with ice and shake well until chilled.
  • Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice.
  • Top with sparkling water, ginger ale, or tonic water.
  • Garnish with mint, basil, and citrus slices. Serve immediately with spooky ice cubes if you have them!

Notes

Maple syrup or agave can replace honey. Add extra ginger for more spice. Blood orange gives the boldest color and flavor. Citrus juice ice cubes add punch as they melt. Mint is lighter, basil is more herbal—choose what you like best. Adjust sweetness as needed, and use ginger ale for a sweeter, spicy finish.
